A related question.
What does one do with extra Christmas cards?

I've been buying my cards at CostCo the past few times, which is nice because I can get a whole bunch for a reasonable cost. The problem is that one box isn't enough, but two boxes is way too many. I don't really want to send out the same card the very next year, so I end up adding yet another half-used box of cards to my growing collection.

I guess in a few years I can send out the extras and see if anyone remembers. >:3

I think there's probably only two I (will) remember). One from last year that had a marshmallow man smiling and waving, presumably, his Christmas greetings. Except he was sitting in a mug of hot chocolate, assuring his impending doom. I thought it was odd.

The other one my cousin sent this year and was actually intended to be humorous. (Martini glass with candy cane. "Eggnog is for wussies" reads the inside.)

If they're average, I doubt anyone would notice. :-)

I have that happen to me all the time. And though I try pretty hard to not use the same card year after year, one of my recipients told me this year that he got the same one he recieved two years ago. But that he loved it then and he loved it now. :)

One of my quartet members with way too much time on her hands makes boxes out of her cards that she can then use for small gifts at Christmas. I think she said she got it off of a show on TV or something. She tried to teach us, but I don't remember it now. If I can get the TV show off of her, I'll send it to you! :)

Merry Christmas!!

If you were really that concerned, you could by two different types one year, send half to one set of people, and half to the other, then switch them next year. Seems like a lot of trouble to dodge the "didn't they send this 3 years ago?" bullet though.
